Knowledge: The four portraits of Jesus in the Gospels

The new game I have developed for my 3rd through 6th grade Sunday School class introduces the idea of four portraits of Jesus. The triangle card has two sides. On the back of the card is a general question that applies to the gospel. The questions are as follows:

  • In Matthew, the question is, "Who was He?"
  • In Mark, the question is, "What did He do?"
  • In Luke, the question is, "What did He say?"
  • In John, the question is, "How did He feel?"
More information about these questions can be found in this interesting article: The Four Faces of Jesus

The four portraits are:
  • Jesus, the Messiah in Matthew
  • Jesus, the Servant in Mark
  • Jesus, the Son of Man in Luke
  • Jesus, the Son of God in John
The students will match the Gospel to the card for review.
